As the season changes, days and nights get colder, impacting our unhoused neighbors. When Code Blue is issued, no unhoused person seeking shelter will be denied. If you see someone experiencing #streethomelessness during Code Blue, please contact 311. Services for the UnderServed https://lnkd.in/eYfhD2vp

New #veterans returning home to New York from military service are about twice as likely to report having a #disability today than they were in 2010, according to a new report on veterans’ health. The report also found that more veterans are reporting depression or post-traumatic stress disorder. The researchers said this could be attributed to higher rates of #mentalhealth issues or less stigma around talking about them. At S:US, our veterans services provide housing, peer support, and connections to mental health care to ensure veterans have the resources they need to overcome challenges and build stable lives back home.
