🌟 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! 🌟 Last Friday, we had the privilege of having the first SHEXON’s bicultural event, and what a night it was! Over 𝟳𝟬 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟳 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 came together at Rabobank to share experiences, exchange insights, and grow together. The energy in the room was absolutely electrifying! 🎤✨ From tackling the challenges of navigating careers as bicultural talents to sharing deeply personal stories and brainstorming innovative solutions, the discussions were nothing short of inspiring. This event was a testament to the incredible power of collaboration, open dialogue, and the unique strengths that diversity brings to the table. 🌍 𝔹𝕚𝕔𝕦𝕝𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕒𝕝 𝕋𝕒𝕝𝕖𝕟𝕥: ℝ𝕖𝕤𝕚𝕝𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝔸𝕕𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕒𝕓𝕚𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪 ℝ𝕖𝕕𝕖𝕗𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕕 🌟 Yesterday evening, I had the privilege of attending SHEXON's very first event, and one insight deeply resonated with me: 𝔸 𝕓𝕚𝕔𝕦𝕝𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕒𝕝 𝕒𝕟𝕕/𝕠𝕣 𝕕𝕚𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕖 𝕦𝕡𝕓𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕤 𝕒 𝕙𝕚𝕕𝕕𝕖𝕟 𝕤𝕦𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕡𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣..𝕒𝕟 𝕖𝕞𝕓𝕠𝕕𝕚𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕠𝕗 𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕚𝕝𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖, 𝕗𝕝𝕖𝕩𝕚𝕓𝕚𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪, 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕒𝕕𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕒𝕓𝕚𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 [!!} 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹. Here’s why they matter so much for future employees and employers: 1️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆 As businesses become more interconnected, the ability to bridge cultural gaps is vital. Bicultural talent naturally fosters collaboration, empathy, and understanding across diverse teams; 2️⃣ 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 In today’s fast-evolving workplace, adaptability is a must. Bicultural individuals, shaped by their dual experiences, excel at embracing new environments, tools, and challenges; 3️⃣ 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 Economic shifts and workplace uncertainty test organizations’ limits. 🌍 Exciting News! We’re proud to announce a new collaboration with EuFlex Technificent | powered by TU/e, focused on increasing the retention of bicultural talent here in the Netherlands—a crucial step for our economy and communities. 📉 Why does this matter? According to the IMF, Dutch economic growth is projected to reach just 0.6% this year and may only grow to 1.4% by 2029—largely limited by a tight labor market. Yet, despite the high demand for skilled professionals, over half of bicultural (international) graduates leave the Netherlands, often due to challenges in securing a job within a year of graduation. Many of these talented individuals face barriers like limited professional networks and a lack of insight into opportunities in the Dutch job market. 🌟 Together with EuFlex Technificent | powered by TU/e, we aim to change this—to bridge these gaps, connect international talent with industry, and create pathways to long-term careers in the Netherlands.
