About us

Siemens Energy is one of the world’s leading energy technology companies. The company works with its customers and partners on energy systems for the future, thus supporting the transition to a more sustainable world. With its portfolio of products, solutions and services, Siemens Energy covers almost the entire energy value chain – from power generation and transmission to storage. The portfolio includes conventional and renewable energy technology, such as gas and steam turbines, hybrid power plants operated with hydrogen, and power generators and transformers. A majority stake in the wind power subsidiary Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) makes Siemens Energy a global market leader for renewable energies. An estimated one-sixth of the electricity generated worldwide is based on technologies from Siemens Energy. Siemens Energy employs 98,000 people worldwide in more than 90 countries and generated revenue of around €31 billion in fiscal year 2023. Siemens Energy is a trademark licensed by Siemens AG

  • Diversity is our strength. Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we are honored to share the inspiring story of Alberto Schirmer. Diagnosed with ALS, he continues to be a vital part of our team, working tirelessly from his wheelchair. Alberto, you are a role model to us all. Your unwavering spirit and commitment to your work inspire us every day. Thank you for being a part of #TeamPurple.

  • On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we use our advent calendar to shine a light on our employees in Houston, who participated in the local ALS Association's ALS Walk Kickoff. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to muscle weakness and eventual paralysis. Our employees helped to raise funds for research and treatment, advocacy and support for those affected by ALS, helping them to live life to the fullest. 💜

It's not far from our Erlangen location to the mountains 🏔. When we look through today’s advent calendar door we see Stefan Grimm, who works on strategies for an energy-efficient process industry, using his own energy to help other people in his spare time. He volunteers as a mountain rescuer, to help injured and in-need people.

  • Our employees contribute to the success of the energy transition through their work every day. Many of them also find time to volunteer. This December, we are excited to introduce you to some of these inspiring individuals. First up is John Miller, who stepped up to help colleagues who lost their homes after Hurricane Milton. While managing the finances of our compressor business in the US, John dedicates his spare time to assisting people in rebuilding their lives after the disaster.

❓Did you know that securing mineral resources is essential for the growth of clean energy technologies❓ As we saw last week, our strong order backlog builds the base for strong growth to drive the energy transition. But as we grow, we need our supply chain to grow with us. The push for clean technologies across all sectors will challenge supply chains. Without access to enough mineral resources and raw materials, we cannot build our technologies. Ensuring a resilient supply chain is crucial for the continuous and sustainable production of clean energy technologies.

  • At our annual press conference this Wednesday, we will not only present our business figures for the past fiscal year, but also put some of our pioneering projects in the spotlight. So here is a little puzzle for you: which four innovative solutions will we be presenting? 🤔 Let us know your guesses in the comments!
