#ThrowbackThursday - In January of 2008, we officially announced our partnership with @fsnewyork to develop 30 Park Place in Downtown NYC.

We are pleased to share that another @SilverArtProjects artist has been featured in a new story in @artinamerica (sister publication to Artnews). The article – cover story for the Winter 2025 issue – explores the work of Puerto Rican artist Jean-Pierre Villafañe, who creates paintings that blend human forms with architectural elements, particularly in the Art Deco style. Villafañe's art reflects a fascination with the geometric patterns and ornamental aspects of Art Deco, merging the rigidity of architecture with the fluidity of the human body. His paintings often depict figures intertwined with or emerging from buildings, suggesting a symbiotic relationship between humans and their constructed environments. https://lnkd.in/gS5rNdsd

We interviewed artist and Senior Fellow Sagarika Sundaram about her experience with Silver Art Projects (@silverartprojects) and the studio space inside the World Trade Center. "It's the first time I've really had a studio. I almost feel like I'm in the center of the world here." Her art is created with felted wool that she dyes herself, all sourced from raw materials from around the world.

We recently talked with NYC artist Gwen Hollingsworth about her involvement with Silver Art Projects and her studio inside the World Trade Center. "Working here at the WTC has given me the opportunity and the gift of space & time to create work, make art for myself, and explore my practice, especially as a younger artist—having this support is just the greatest blessing."

That means it has been 68 years since Harry Silverstein and his son, Larry Silverstein bought their first property- a Manhattan industrial loft building on East 23rd Street.
