Today, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), we celebrate the theme: "Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future." At Skills for Rhode Island's Future, we are proud to make this vision a reality through workABILITY and the commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion from our employer partners.   2024 Highlights: - 25 total job placements this year, with 14 candidates placed across 7 unique employers and 11 additional candidates placed in a collaborative effort with our community partner agency's support. - Employer partners like Trinity Repertory Company, RISE, Rhode Island School of Design, Ocean State Job Lot, DATTCO, INC, Cafe International, and AVI Foodsystems have played a vital role in fostering sustainable inclusion hiring practices and creating workforce cultures of belonging. As we reflect on the past year, we see progress as a testament to the potential and strength of our candidates, the dedication of our community partners, and the growing understanding of the added value inclusive hiring practices bring to our employer partners.
