Our team successfully completed a high-resolution LiDAR and image capture mission over the beautiful terrain of San Diego, all from the vantage point of a helicopter. This project represents the perfect synergy between precision engineering and cutting-edge technology, enabling: 🔹 Accurate terrain mapping 🔹 High-fidelity imagery for urban planning 🔹 Advanced data integration for infrastructure projects A big shoutout to the entire team for their expertise and hard work in making this mission a success. On Veterans Day, the team at SkySkopes honor the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have served in our nation's armed forces. Their selflessness has protected our freedoms and strengthened the foundations of our country. Today, we express our deepest gratitude to every veteran who has stood for justice and peace. May we always remember their courage and commitment, carrying their legacy forward with respect and appreciation.

One of SkySkopes’ core service offerings is aerial survey including LiDAR & imagery collection, processing, and delivery.  From major utilities looking for vegetation data for wildfire mitigation, to engineering firms that require best in class quality for construction of new infrastructure and renewables sites such as solar fields and wind turbine farms, SkySkopes has the experience and tools to deliver.

In this edition of the SkySkopes employee spotlight, we are proud to share more about a critical member of our team, our fearless Project Manager, Hillary Haga.  With more than 12 years of project management experience, Hillary shines every day in coordinating complex projects, leading teams, and delivering results that exceed expectations. With a background in managing large scale UAS projects, Hillary’s skills and know-how allow her to support manned aviation, UAS, and mobile operations that are the cornerstone for the products and services we provide our customers. Outside of work, Hillary loves curling which like her profession, is a team environment and allows her to work with others.  She also loves traveling to national parks, camping, live music, and above all, time with her family.  We are so grateful for Hillary, her contributions, her professionalism and being a great team member here at SkySkopes!

On this solemn day, we pause to honor and remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001. It was a day that forever changed the course of history, marked by unimaginable tragedy, but also by the strength and resilience of the human spirit. We pay tribute to the brave first responders and volunteers who risked and gave their lives in the service of others, and to the families and loved ones whose grief remains ever-present. We remember the courage, unity, and compassion that emerged in the face of such profound loss, and we vow never to forget the sacrifices made. Today, as we reflect, we come together in remembrance, honoring the lives lost and committing to a future shaped by peace, hope, and unity.

Does SkySkopes perform wide area LiDAR and topographic mapping? Yes. We. Do. Depending on the terrain, SkySkopes can deploy an array of airborne and mobile assets accomplishing critical, time-sensitive missions.  For wide area mapping, SkySkopes operates a Cessna Turbo 182T with a strut mounted LiDAR system. Utilizing an array of advanced technologies such as the Ranger XL and the Phase One camera system, we are able to safely collect at altitudes greater than 2,000 feet. Fixed-wing aircraft are the most efficient and cost-effective way to cover vast areas in a short timeline. Want to know more?
