SLC’s holiday decorations are SLEIGHING 🛷🎄 Here are some fun facts about our holiday decor: ⭐Garland: Nearly one mile of garland adorns the airport. ⭐Moravian stars: Twelve Moravian stars surround the 40-foot tree in Concourse A plaza. Each star is 6 feet tall and features color-changing LED lights. ⭐Menorah: When Hanukkah begins, a lighted menorah will be illuminated in Concourse A Plaza. ⭐Nutcrackers: Forty-five nutcrackers stand guard along the elevated roadway and inside the airport. ⭐Poinsettias: Between 1,500 and1,700 are arranged through the airport. All home grown in SLC’s greenhouse. ⭐Polar Bear: Perfect for picture taking, Emmitt is 8 feet by 5 feet donning a red Santa hat and scarf. Two more polar bears are in the greeting room! ⭐Snowflakes: One hundred LED snowflakes hang throughout the terminal fronts creating a wintery scene. ⭐Trees: Forty-five holiday trees decorate the airport, ranging from 4 feet to 40 feet tall. ⭐Wreaths: Ninety-five holiday wreaths, ranging 2 feet to 8 feet in diameter, are placed throughout the airport. In addition to our beautiful decorations, SLC will have some special visitors this week… holiday performers and Santa Claus!

Where in the airport can you find... An industrial-sized oven. A commercial router. Giant printers. Vinyl. A plethora of ink? SLC is fortunate to have its own on-site print shop. Learn more about SLC's sign shop team here: https://lnkd.in/gENcr9BZ

Over the weekend, American Airlines’ Snowball Express made a stop at SLC International to pick up family members of our nation’s fallen heroes. Passengers on the flight have lost a loved one during active duty in the U.S. military. They flew to Orlando, Florida, for a special trip to Walt Disney World Resort. The special event is provided by the Gary Sinise Foundation with the hope of creating new, happy memories during what can be a difficult time of the year.
