About us
SMA began in 1964 with a father-son team. It was a rather modest start: a smattering of farm parts on white butcher paper spread across an old, dusty ping pong table. Today, SMA offers some 60,000 different agricultural-related parts to customers across the United States, stretching from California’s San Joaquin Valley to the Carolinas, and from the Upper Midwest down to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.

Meet Brandon and Matthew Boerner! The brothers grow peanuts, along with other crops, in Cooke, Grayson and Denton counties. They’re sixth-generation farmers and ranchers with a passion for agriculture and continuing their family’s farming legacy that dates back to 1891. They have fond memories of riding the tractor with their grandpa and playing in the peanuts when they were younger. The hard work they learned as kids has helped them as adults in their careers on and off the farm. And not only do they enjoy growing peanuts, but they like to eat them, too!
