It´s a match ✨ SmartCHANGE Research reached into education in JAMK University of Applied Sciences. The subject of the SmartCHANGE research aligned perfectly with the Designing Evidence-Based Digital Services course within Jamk’s Master's Degree Programme in Digital Rehabilitation. Principal Researcher Tuija Tammelin and Chief Specialist Piritta Asunta from LIKES Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health were invited as guest lecturers. "The project´s and course´s contents aligned beautifully. We were able to share fresh insights from the project with enthusiastic students. It feels meaningful that our Jamk students gain a firsthand understanding of the latest international trends in the field", Tuija remarked with delight. The two-hour online lecture by Tuija and Piritta included stretch breaks to refresh and energize the learning experience 💪 Read more here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/d3KbumJp #Research #AI #Learning

SmartCHANGE at Critical Stage: Project Coordinator's Perspective Mitja Lustrek, Project Coordinator from the Jozef Stefan Institute, shares insights into the current status and upcoming challenges of the SmartCHANGE project. A Pivotal Moment in Development The project has reached a crucial phase, as Luštrek explains: "Now we got to the point where we have [...] a decent amount of data, which is crucial for our work. And now we have to really start building the risk prediction models and we really have to figure out [...] the shape of the tools that we will have to develop." Critical Next Steps Luštrek outlines the upcoming challenges and deadlines: "In the next six months, we'll have to be working really hard because first we have a review coming up. And second [...] the scientific AI work has to be kind of finished in six months, or at least it has to get to the first stage [...] where we have the first deliverables and these deliverables represent the models and other tools that will be integrated into the first application for [...] health professionals." The Stakes Ahead The coordinator emphasises the importance of meeting these deadlines: "If we don't manage to do this well, then everything afterwards is also delayed or doesn't go as well as we would like [...] so yeah, it's very important." As SmartCHANGE moves into this critical phase, the work led by Luštrek and the project team will be crucial in developing effective risk prediction models and tools that will form the foundation for healthcare applications to be tested in the proof of concept study.
