Great news for the City of Indianola, Iowa! We are proud to be part of this 2-year, multiphase project that was challenged to maintain access to all properties throughout construction! Loud shout-outs to: - Indianola residents for dealing with the traffic control and multiple changes to access routes - The City for the planning and political will to tackle a tough project - The Contractor & all the subs for the diligence and care over 26 months
The City of Indianola is thrilled to announce that Hillcrest Avenue has reopened to traffic, as the Hillcrest Avenue Reconstruction Project reaches substantial completion! This construction, which began on May 16, 2023, was completed in multiple phases to maintain access to businesses and residential properties. Today, the entire stretch of Hillcrest Avenue reopened ahead of schedule. Please note that some work remains, including temporary seeding this winter. In the spring, the contractor will return primarily to install sidewalk, complete permanent seeding and address a few other minor tasks. We sincerely thank motorists, residents and businesses for their patience throughout the process, and kudos to the contractor for completing the project early!
