  • Can’t find what you need in Teams? The latest updates bring a makeover that will increase your business’s productivity! Ever feel overwhelmed by the maze of chats, channels, and notifications in Microsoft Teams? Well, here’s the good news: Microsoft’s rolling out an update to help streamline things. The update will create a simpler workspace that’s easier to navigate – grouping everything in one location under the Chat menu. Think of it as a central hub where all your key conversations and notifications live. The update also includes a new “@mentions” view that gathers all your direct messages and important mentions in one place. This will make it easier to catch up on messages you’re tagged in, helping you to make sure important notifications don’t slip through the cracks. Teams will also be getting improved filters and controls. This will let you do things like filter out less urgent notifications, as well as create custom sections to keep your chats, channels, and meetings organized by project or topic. Another great feature being introduced is a new “favorites” section, allowing you to pin your top chats and channels for quick access. Also, threaded conversations are expected to arrive some time in mid-2025. This will mean that replies get grouped together in the same thread, making it easier to follow discussions without losing track of previous messages. All these improvements are coming to desktop, Android, and iOS – so your team will be able to stay on top of things no matter where they are. If you’re not already using Teams to keep communication flowing in your business, now’s a great time to start. We can help with that, get in touch.

🌐 On April 1st, 2025 - Microsoft is implementing some pricing and billing changes that will affect your Microsoft 365 subscriptions. If you buy from Microsoft directly, consider getting the help of a direct Microsoft partner/reseller like Snyder Technologies to navigate change, have direct support, and get the most out of your products. In essence: - There will continue to be an option to pay monthly for your annual subscriptions, but they will be 5% higher than paying at once. - Microsoft's new Copilot licenses are now being given a monthly payment option (instead of annual only) and will also include the 5%. This change is effective sooner on December 1st, 2024 https://lnkd.in/enaZU9sG

  • On This Day in 1958: The First Integrated Circuit Jack Kilby at Texas Instruments tested the first integrated circuit (IC), an innovation that changed the world. Before the IC, electronics were built with separate components connected by wires, making devices bulky and inefficient. Kilby’s IC combined multiple components into a single tiny chip, revolutionizing technology. This paved the way for the advanced, compact devices we rely on today—from medical equipment and cars to communication systems and industrial machinery. Let’s celebrate this leap that transformed industries and everyday life. Thanks, Jack! #TechHistory #Innovation #ICAnniversary https://lnkd.in/ek5DFGwf

  • Cybercriminals are getting more inventive, using Microsoft Sway—a niche tool for presentations—to host phishing pages with QR codes. There’s been a 2,000-fold increase in scams using Sway to create fake Microsoft 365 login pages. QR codes, often seen as harmless, bypass antivirus and email filters and are usually scanned on less secure mobile devices, making them an easy target. Protect yourself: * Be skeptical of unexpected emails, especially with QR codes or suspicious links. * Verify senders and avoid scanning unknown QR codes. * When in doubt, contact the sender directly through a trusted method. Need help navigating these threats? Reach out—we’re here to keep you secure. #CyberSecurity #PhishingScam #MicrosoftSway #StaySafe https://lnkd.in/em-J95Ve
