  • Capital Area United Way plans for future funding efforts by establishing new endowment fund, thanks to Let Freedom Fly International Air Show Thanks to a donation from the Let Freedom Fly International Air Show, the Capital Area United Way has established an endowment that will allow it to financially support its partner agencies and community impact programs long into the future. Because of the generosity of the Air Show, CAUW was able to apply for a nonprofit savings account grant from SDCF. This provided the CAUW endowment with a $20,000 SDCF matching grant. SDCF is committed to strengthening nonprofits in our state. We recognize the value of committed staff and volunteers and understand the importance of consistent funding to support critical work. We are honored to provide this match for CAUW’s endowment. https://lnkd.in/gjq9nArX

  • We're excited to share a wonderful conversation with our 2024 Bush Prize: South Dakota Winner! South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF), alongside the Bush Foundation, is delighted to present the Bush Prize: South Dakota program. This amazing award shines a light on organizations that are truly cherished in their communities and have a fantastic history of solving problems effectively. We’re proud to announce Call to Freedom (CTF) as the 2024 Bush Prize winner! CTF will receive a generous award of $500,000 to help them continue their important mission. Based in Sioux Falls, SD, CTF is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing healing and support to individuals affected by sex trafficking, labor trafficking, and commercial sexual exploitation. Recently, SDCF’s Senior Program Officer, Ginger Niemann, had a lovely chat with CTF’s President and CEO, Becky Rasmussen, and Director of Grants Management, Rachel Schartz, about how winning the Bush Prize will help their organization make an even bigger impact in South Dakota. In this episode, you’ll hear about: - The heartwarming mission of CTF - How the Bush Prize funds will help CTF reach more people - What it was like to apply for the Bush Prize: South Dakota “Winning the Bush Prize sends a resounding message to survivors that we believe them–we recognize what they’ve been through and we are not looking away. We are here to solve this problem.” - Rachel Schartz Tune in to this podcast here: https://lnkd.in/gFJZFphH #BushFoundation #NonprofitFunding #ImpactfulWork #SouthDakota Listen to this podcast here: https://lnkd.in/gFJZFphH #BushFoundation #NonprofitFunding #ImpactfulWork #SouthDakota Call to Freedom Bush Foundation
