This isn’t just any flight; it’s a Kidd's Kids flight! For the past 18 years, we’ve proudly partnered with Kidd's Kids to send children with life-altering or life-threatening conditions and their families to the Most Magical Place on Earth. All our dedicated Employees who work this special flight volunteer their time, and we charter an entire plane just for these incredible kids and their families. Before takeoff, we host a grand send-off party where families walk down a red carpet, feeling like the celebrities they truly are as they board the plane. What makes this trip so special is that it’s not just for the kids; it’s a magical vacation for their siblings and parents too. Once they arrive in Orlando, Kidd's Kids covers all expenses, including hotel accommodations, park passes, meals, transportation, spending money, and souvenirs—making this unforgettable experience completely free for the families! They even provide a full staff of medical professionals to accompany the families on their journey. Over the years, we’ve sent more than 800 Kidd's Kids families to Orlando, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year! 💙❤️💛

This year, we're proudly joining Ronald McDonald House Charities as they celebrate 50 remarkable years of caring for families along their child's healthcare journey. As our first national nonprofit partner, our relationship has evolved over the years with continued support and engagement. To honor their 50th Anniversary, we're thrilled to share that we contributed an additional $100,000 monetary donation this year. As part of that donation, $50,000 was used for a special Heart in Action challenge, awarding $5,000 each to the top ten RMHC Chapters where Employees logged the most volunteer hours throughout 2024. This unique challenge was designed to magnify the impact of our Employees who volunteer and make an even bigger difference for families supported by RMHC Chapters nationwide. The Heart in Action Challenge energized Cohearts to contribute hundreds of volunteer hours at RMHC locations across the country, helping with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup. Recently, our Volunteer Ambassadors had the honor of visiting the winning Chapters to share the good news of their Heart in Action Challenge grant. We're so proud of all Employees who put their #HeartinAction for this wonderful organization! #RMHC50

Southwest is thrilled to provide even more scholarship support to students in 2024! This year, our 20 recipients are eligible for a combined $400,000 over four years to support their educational pursuits. We’re celebrating 10 years of Repurpose with Purpose, our award-winning global environmental sustainability initiative that upcycles aircraft seat leather! With the help of community partners across the globe, we have upcycled more than one million pounds of aircraft seat leather, fostering sustainable solutions with a transformative community impact. Have you noticed the high fashion pieces that landed at Houston Hobby airport? This exhibit features the amazing work from our Repurpose with Purpose partner, Magpies & Peacocks. As the nation's only nonprofit design house dedicated to the collection, curation, and sustainable reuse of post-consumer textiles, Magpies & Peacocks uses our upcycled leather to create unique fashion and accessories. Mikyaela (20) is our youngest Employee at Chicago O’Hare, and Kenneth (80) is our oldest Employee at Chicago O’Hare. Despite their 60-year age gap, they’ve bonded over their service in the Army and love for Southwest Airlines. Kenneth trained Army infantry soldiers for Vietnam and Mikyaela joined the Army National Guard at 17 and was just deployed. Thank you to Kenneth, Mikyaela, and all veterans for your brave service to our country.

At Southwest, we know how important it is to put our #HeartInAction ❤️💙💛 Our Employees have been volunteering with the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Meals on Wheels program for nearly 20 years. Over the years, Southwest Employees have loaded up cars and blitzed Dallas County, delivering more than 16,000 meals (on 1,200 routes) to seniors and house-bound clients. This year, in honor of our annual Heart in Action month, 279 Southwest Employees volunteered their time to serve more than 900 meals across Dallas County!

We were thrilled to be part of this unforgettable proposal, where our amazing Crew helped create a magical moment for Yazmin and her fiancé, Louis. From the smiles of fellow passengers to the cheers that filled the cabin, it was a beautiful reminder that love knows no bounds—even at 30,000 feet!
