🌍SIL’s 2024 SMART Farm Summary: Lessons for Success in Tropical Soybean Production Learning something new is rarely easy. Just like dancing or building something, mastering soybean production requires practice and discipline. Since 2015, the SMART Farm system has served as a practical learning space, empowering 57 public and private organizations across 21 countries. These partners have supported over 80,000 farmers in planting 60,000 hectares of soybean, proving that Sub-Saharan Africa can meet the growing local demand for soybean while improving farmer livelihoods. 🌱 What do SMART Farms teach? ✅ How to maximize productivity when planting soybean. ✅ The best input to invest in with a limited budget. ✅ Solutions to protect fields from seasonal pests and diseases. The result? A clear roadmap for soybean commercialization in tropical regions.
