The event is at Space Center Houston, featuring the Apollo 17 Command Module, Gemini V and Mercury 9 capsules in the Starship gallery. We woke up to snowfall at Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen, Germany, but the convention hall is busy with activity. I found some guys who like my shirt, picked-up a few new RBF tags from ENPULSION and ATLAS Space Operations, Inc. and won a "City of Space" Bremen water bottle, with an awesome logo. Last Friday, the morning after Space Happy Hour Los Angeles, SHH founder Craig Baerwaldt took a tour of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory with with a materials scientist, who's worked at JPL for almost 25 years. On the tour we got to see the Near-Earth Observation Surveyor loaded on a truck, heading to Houston for testing. Stepped onto the floor of Mission Control with Space Flight Operations Facility Manager, Jim McClure, who also offered us some ”lucky peanuts,” and got up close and personal with the “center of the universe” plaque and put on headsets at the Curiosity control desk. Yes, we’re in the same room where, Bobak Ferdwosi (Mohawk Guy) witnessed Curiosity’s landing on Mars, celebrating with peanuts. We saw robot testing and research in the Mars yard, plus so much more! An absolutely amazing morning learning about all things deep space exploration and an epic engineering geek fest by a top notch materials science engineer who’s been building space craft for 25 years. A few of our regional coordinators and other partners joined of for a tour of the Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL) and two other astronaut training facilities the day before our Houston launch party two weeks ago. #space #spaceindustry #spacetechnology
