🌟 100 athletes screened across 6 Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® disciplines at Moulay Youssef Hospital in Rabat, Morocco! 🤝 35 regional partner organizations and doctors were honored, thanks to the support of Egypt’s Ministry of Sports & Youth and the Ministry of Solidarity. 👂 23 athletes received hearing aids for the first time through Special Olympics Healthy Hearing screenings in partnership with Starkey Hearing. 📊 12 regional SO programs attended, giving presentations and leading demonstrations. 🎉 7 unforgettable days spent celebrating the power of Special Olympics Health in the MENA region! These numbers only begin to capture the profound impact of global partnerships for #InclusiveHealth demonstrated during the recent Special Olympics and B. Thomas Golisano Foundation site visits in Egypt and Morocco. Driving Unified Leadership Forward Over two impactful days, Special Olympics Programs from Belgium, Italy, Great Britain, and Romania, alongside Regional and HQ staff, came together to explore the Unified Leadership Education Series and its profound impact on individuals without IDD. The word is resurfacing in public spaces – in schools, online, and in the media. The r-word may sound like just another offensive word to some people, but not to those with intellectual disabilities.
