We had a fantastic turnout at our WiSA breakfast at this year's SSIA conference. The sector has a fascinating history of women working with seaweed, from traditional medicines to food, it is wonderful to see so many women active and engaged in this innovative industry. #women #aquaculture #seaweed #algae #blueeconomy
It was lovely to see old friends and make new ones at the WiSA breakfast hosted by Lantra Scotland at the 2024 Scottish Seaweed Industry Association meeting in beautiful Oban. The meeting celebrated 10 years of this promising sector, welcoming delegates from across the UK and beyond. The WiSA breakfast was an opportunity for everyone to hear more about us and to learn how they could connect into this fabulous network. WiSA is the leading professional network for women in Scottish aquaculture. Our participants work in variety of organisations, including industry, academia, government, charities and NGOs. We work to encourage new entrants into the sector and provide a network for those who already work in the exciting world of finfish, shellfish, seaweed and connected organisations. Find out more at www.wisa.scot and sign up for updates so that we can tell you about future opportunities and networking events. #DiversityMakesUsWiSA #AquacultureEvents #Aquaculture
