It’s been 1 year now since we launched Stack Integrated. Heres how it’s gone bootstrapping a B2B SAAS that targets the middle market: When we launched we had $65,000 in MRR. We didn’t have contracts because we were moving so fast we couldn’t let legal bottleneck us. We had verbal commitments from people and orginizations we trusted. This was huge. Our first customers were my former employer Encōr Solar, Nivo Solar and Fluent Solar. We couldn’t ask for better initial customers, they were patient, understanding, and supported us as a bootstrapped tech company. Me and Garrett Franklin went 6 months without a paycheck. The other founders worked for greatly reduced rates so we could save cash. (And it’s a good thing we did) 3 months after launching our largest agreement had a round of funding unexpectedly fall through and went out of business. It cost us $45k of bad debt that we never got to collect on. We had saved and run lean though giving us time to hang in there. One of our starting customers put in a referral for us to Icon Power, another great organization who we convinced to work with us. They have been a phenomenal partner and are a great player in the solar space, one of the best. Then we inked an agreement with Blue Raven Solar. This felt like a huge breakthrough but we still hadn’t even offset the customer that went out of business. Then Blue Raven went through a chapter 11 and although their purchaser retained our agreement, it tied up a bunch of AR. We survived and landed Lumio, another huge breakthrough. Then came Genesis Solar Power and I found my new favorite CEO in this industry, William Beliles. We were finally caught up with where we were at launch. We were running a profit, stable, ready to keep growing. Then the Lumio bankruptcy stalking-horse bid fell through. This cost us them as a customer, and even more to bad debt. That same week we experienced our first “non-bankruptcy” churn. A term that is apperently needed, a customer was downsizing across the board and axed our agreement from $144k to $30k. We failed to implement the product such that they could not live without it. A hard learned lesson. These two events knocked us back down to $500k ARR. Painful. This was 3 weeks ago. Defeating. Then we signed on Soligo. Then the Lumio purchaser, Sunnergy decided they wanted the platform for themselves also Then Complete Solar retained the Blue Raven Contract.. and expanded it. So here we are 1 year and 3 bankruptcies in. $680k/ARR and another $30k in MRR. What a wild ride. Buckle up for our 2nd year and get ready for some earth shattering announcements dropping over the next few days.

Your CRM is not, and should not be, your “single source of truth.” The software products claiming otherwise are either: A) Not technically proficient enough to know this. (I’m looking at all of the industry-specific CRMs and ERP platforms that have popped up over the last five years.) Or B) Do know better but are taking advantage of your lack of technical understanding to close a deal. (I’m looking at you, Salesforce, NetSuite, and HubSpot.) Salesforce didn’t just buy Tableau for $18B for the fun of it. They did it because they realize that native analytics, while having a place, should not be your single source of truth if your company is doing more than $10MM/year in revenue. So, to all of the platforms selling a CRM or ERP as a “single source of truth,” “all-in-one,” or “replace all your systems with ours”: Stop it. It’s bad business, and you are ruining your brand. I constantly talk to customers who are fed up with you because you sell a product that doesn’t exist. Don’t make me start naming names.

  • The International Data Group found that the average organization has 400 or more data sources. Think about your key platforms—Google Analytics, sales software, marketing tools. It adds up quickly, right? For RevOps teams, this isn't just overwhelming; it’s a difficult challenge to manage effectively. With so many sources, data silos and fragmented insights become a real problem, making it tough to get a unified view of performance. At Stack Integrated, we connect all these data points into a single platform, transforming scattered data into cohesive insights. It’s about more than just managing data; it’s about making it work for you. Ready to integrate and optimize your operations?

  • "The goal of business intelligence is to turn data into information, and information into insight." – Carly Fiorina In RevOps, the challenge isn’t generating data, but transforming it into actionable insights. Too many companies have 10/10 software for gathering data in every department of their business, but only 2/10 solutions for making that data accessible across the entire business for every stakeholder that needs it. That lack of data transparency across your company is what’s causing a lack of focus, a lack of unity, and a lack of clarity in decision-making. Getting connected, integrated data across your entire business can be done in a matter of days, rather than months or years. Wondering how this can work for your business? Let’s talk.

    • The goal of business intelligence is to turn data into information, and information into insight. -Carly Fiorina Quote
  • Sales teams are champions of enthusiasm. They're the lifeblood of the business. Departments like RevOps will be well served to match that energy.

If you are in RevOps/SalesOps/BizOps you have to match the energy of the sales and ops teams your serve. Otherwise you are just another technical resource that doesn’t understand their needs.

  • Is your data a powerful asset or idle potential? Your business is paying massive amounts of money to generate, track, and store massive amounts of data. Is it just taking space or is it being used to its full potential? Using all that data will make decision-making clear, rather than an expensive guessing game. At Stack Integrated, we transform the latent energy in your data into kinetic performance. Whether it's streamlining operations or fueling your next growth phase, we help turn your data into a powerful tool for success. Ready to put your data to work?
