📢 SpiceJet Limited, India’s favorite airline and one of the country's largest regional carriers, has entered into a services agreement with StandardAero for CFM International (CFM) LEAP-1B engine MRO services in support of its fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 new generation narrowbodies. StandardAero, a CFM 'Premier MRO' provider for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, will provide Spicejet with LEAP-1B MRO services from our 810,000 sq. ft. facility in San Antonio, TX, which now offers a full range of LEAP quick time shop visit (QTSV) and performance restoration shop visit (PRSV) services for the LEAP, including engine testing. The team at StandardAero looks forward to expanding our relationship with Spicejet through this LEAP-1B services agreement, as well as collaborating on their other fleet types! 📢 StandardAero is honored to announce its selection by the Brazilian Air Force (Força Aérea Brasileira - FAB) to provide MRO services for the Pratt & Whitney Canada #PT6A-68C engines powering the FAB’s fleet of Embraer A-29A and A-29B Super Tucano aircraft. The FAB is the world’s largest operator of the PT6A-68C turboprop engine, utilizing the A-29 for a variety of roles including training, air interception and surveillance missions. StandardAero will support the PT6A-68C from its PT6A Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) in Summerside, PEI, whose capabilities include a dedicated “high-G” test cell capable of emulating the G-forces encountered by PT6A-68 engines in highly maneuverable platforms such as the Super Tucano.
