Our Manufacturing Day event with Youngstown State University College of STEM at the Youngstown State University's Excellence Training Center was FULL of engaging experiences for area high school students. They learned about careers in advanced and additive manufacturing through hands-on activities and demonstrations - which included CNC machining, 3D printing and design, robotics and industrial maintenance. Students used virtual reality headsets, as well as a handheld welding simulator, to step into real situations. Mahoning County Career & Technical Center and Valley STEM Academy, Hubbard, Cardinal Mooney High School, Southeast, Warren G Harding High School and Brookfield were invited to bring students interested in manufacturing-related careers. They also interacted with member manufacturers about opportunities available right here in the Mahoning Valley. Thanks to all who participated and helped make this event a big success.
