Last week, we proudly hosted our third annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner at our headquarters in Quincy, MA, dedicated to supporting veterans and raising awareness about food insecurity among those who have served. A recent study found that one in five military and veteran families face food insecurity, compared to one in eight U.S. households. Approximately 50 veterans enjoyed a hearty, multi-course meal and shared camaraderie with fellow service members. As a special gift, each veteran received a Stop & Shop gift card to purchase a turkey, along with bags of sides, so they could celebrate Thanksgiving with their families. A heartfelt thank you to our partners, Home Base and Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center, for helping to make this event possible, as well as to our Veterans Associate Resource Group and Community Relations team for their hard work and dedication. This is how we nourish our neighbors, together.
