GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) show promise in managing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) by reducing hepatic steatosis, resolving MASH, and mitigating fibrosis progression. Ongoing trials, including phase III studies of semaglutide and emerging dual/triple agonists like tirzepatide, aim to provide further evidence on their efficacy.
