  • Today on #WorldMentalHealthDay, we honor the strength it takes to move forward—one step, one song, one breath at a time. At Superbands, we know firsthand how music and fandom can carry us through the darkest moments. For so many of us, the love for a favorite band or artist has been more than just a hobby—it’s been hope, a lifeline, and a reason to keep going. Sometimes, it's the next album release, the countdown to a concert, or even just the lyrics that say what we can’t. Today’s reminder? You are stronger than yesterday. Every small victory, every time you choose to keep showing up, is a testament to your resilience. 💛 We’re here to continue this conversation, to build a community where mental health isn’t something we hide but something we honor and advocate for—together. Whether you’ve found hope through music or are still searching, we see you, and we’re with you. Let’s use today to check in on each other and on ourselves. If you or someone you know is struggling, you don’t have to carry it alone.

  • In case you need a reminder: September is Suicide Prevention Month. The statistics are heartbreaking, but they remind us how crucial it is to speak up, raise awareness, and support one another. At Superbands, we believe in the power of community and conversation to break the silence around mental health struggles. Check out the graphic below to learn more about the reality of suicide and why our work in prevention is more important than ever. Together, we can change these numbers and ensure that every life feels valued and supported. 💙 Visit www.superbands.me to learn how you can get involved and help spread hope.

  • At Superbands, we believe that every life is worth fighting for. This month, we’re sharing an important reminder: there’s no shame in seeking help, and recognizing when someone might need support could be life-saving. Our "Songs Within Us" campaign is dedicated to raising awareness about suicide prevention and empowering young people to share their stories. You have a voice, and you are needed here. Check out the warning signs and crisis support, and remember—whether for yourself or someone else—help is always just a conversation away. Let’s keep the conversation going. Visit www.superbands.me to learn more about how you can get involved and help us spread the message of hope. Together, we can be the light in someone’s darkest moments, ensuring no one ever walks this path alone.

  • Today, on World Suicide Prevention Day, we stand united against a silent epidemic. Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. dies by suicide. It's time to change that. Suicide is a complex issue with no single cause. It's often a result of a confluence of factors, including mental health struggles, social isolation, and economic hardship. But it's important to remember that suicide is preventable. By raising awareness, offering support, and breaking down stigma, we can create a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Join us in the fight against suicide. Together, we can rewrite the next chapter. Learn more about how you can get involved at www.superbands.me

  • Excited to reveal something special we have been working on for September. September is National #SuicidePreventionMonth – a time to remember the lives lost to suicide, acknowledge the millions more who have experienced suicidal thoughts, and the many individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by suicide. It’s also a time to raise awareness about suicide prevention and share messages of hope (SAMHSA). This year, we are highlighting the songs that have gotten us through the hard days, the lyrics that have reminded us to stay strong, and the artists and bands that have truly saved us. Stay tuned.

Friday #lessonslearned: Never underestimate the power of your first customer, fan, or follower. In 2016, in my childhood bedroom surrounded by J14 and Tiger Beat posters I'd hung up during my teen years, I had an idea for a movement. What if I could create a community that celebrated the positive power of these bands on teen lives? I asked my cousin for a favor to create a logo, I signed up for a Tumblr account. SUPERBANDS, I called it. I shared my story of how the love for my own favorite band, the Jonas Brothers, kept me alive as a teen. I'd count down until the next concert or album and those little milestones got me through my hardest days. I got thousands of followers almost overnight. I received hundreds of messages from around the world of young people sharing the bands that saved them. It was proof that I was on to something. One of those earliest messages came from someone thousands of miles away in France. "N," as we'll call her, shared how her own favorite band played a big role in her life and her mental health, and we bonded over a shared love for these celebrities who didn't even know our names. She provided feedback, ideas, input from Day One - and helped coordinate every campaign, activity, cold pitch to a music executive. We've laughed and cried together. We've celebrated milestones together - via Zoom - both big and small. She went from just being follower #1 to being the first volunteer, the first intern. She was the constant reminder that there are people out there who believe in what I'm doing. She didn't know it - but she's been a big part of the reason I haven't given up. So WHEN (not IF!!) SUPERBANDS becomes a household name, you'll have to thank N. Because she was there first. Never underestimate Follower #1. They'll be the gamechangers. Pic of my first event in 2016 where I spent hundreds of dollars at Staples to print materials to share this idea for the world for the first time.
