Last week, Sustainable Pittsburgh and #CEOsforSustainability hosted the annual C-Suite Summit at PNC Park. Sponsored by the Pittsburgh Pirates, the event brought together more than 120 business executives, nonprofit leaders, and academics to address the urgent responsibility of businesses to lead in reducing carbon emissions and advancing sustainability. Highlights included: - A keynote by Peter Votruba-Drzal of PPG, focusing on achieving ambitious sustainability goals through innovation and collaboration. - A panel discussion on supply chain sustainability, with insights from experts at Covestro, PITT OHIO, and the University of Pittsburgh. - Presentations on funding opportunities led by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, The Efficiency Network, and Duquesne Light Company. Topics included RISE PA for industrial decarbonization and strategies for accessing funding for energy efficiency and decarbonization projects.
