Welcome to the north of the Arctic Circle! This is Abisko Scientific Research Station, a hotspot (pun intended) for scientists from all over the world. 💡🌍 The station has been a hub for climate and environmental research since 1913. These days, scientists working here can explore how changing conditions like carbon dioxide levels, UVB radiation and snow depth affect ecosystems. 🤔💡 Did you know that the first recording of the ultrasound echo from the heart (ECG) was carried out by Swedish Inge Edler, together with German Carl Hellmuth Hertz? In 1953 in Lund, Sweden, cardiologist Edler did the first execution of ECG on a cardiac patient to see the elements of a defected heart. The examination revolutionized the landscape of cardiac diagnostics. First electric foiling ferry in the US! We’re excited to announce our partnership with FlyTahoe to bring zero-emission waterborne transport to Lake Tahoe. The first Candela P-12 in the United States will provide a north-south crossing on the lake, alleviating road congestion and offering a much faster alternative to cars around the lake – all while helping to keep the lake blue.
