The Symbiocene offers summits, satellite events, and unique programs that feature global artists, storytellers, and changemakers. The Symbiocene is a place to join discussions, workshops, movements, build community, take part in advocacy, and find joy and connection on our way to a collective future where all species flourish. Dreamt by Glenn Albrecht, the Symbiocene is a future where humans and nature work together in symbiosis. The Symbiocene summit is making another world possible through culture and world-building strategies – bringing together stories of a new world through ecology, tech, arts and music.     I’m thrilled to announce a day-long field trip to the Mojave Desert to celebrate our precious California desert ecosystems with Mojave Desert Land Trust We are taking a bus from LA, and I want you to come! 🚍 What’s the Plan? We’ll kick things off with a bus pick-up from Los Angeles Union Station and take a scenic ride out to the stunning Mojave Desert. On this adventure, you’ll dive deep into desert ecology, guided by experts who are as passionate about conservation as you are. 🌿 What Can You Expect? Guided Tours: Explore the MDLT’s seed bank and native plant garden, and hit the trails with biologists to discover the endangered wildlife that calls this desert home. Snacks & Drinks: We’ll keep you fueled with delicious snacks and drinks throughout the day, plus a light lunch. Feel free to bring your own lunch and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated! New Friends: This is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow climate enthusiasts and conservation experts.     That's a wrap on SymbioFutures! After launching Symbiocene in 2023 this year's Symbiofutures for NY Climate Week was a total blast with fresh discussions, mouthwatering bites, and epic drinks. Together we boogied out to pop songs with an orchestral twist, enjoyed fungi-inspired treats, and heard from changemakers reshaping innovation. A huge shoutout to our incredible venue partner Farm.One and supporting partners Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative , Evoca Foundation, Stephanie Dillon. We are so grateful for our ever-expanding partners who continue to invest in symbiotic futures. This year, we explored adapting to a world that keeps demanding more, digging into climate fiction, craft, AI, and more than human thinking. Our speaker lineup featured: Modeartor, Whitney B. and Speakers: Tory Stephens, Aditi Mayer and Isabelle Boemeke alongside our cohost Isaias Hernandez We couldn’t have pulled this off without our incredible food partners Nature's Fynd, Tony's Chocolonely, Traditional Medicinals, Repurpose, Rebel Cheese Thanks to Sustain Frame for the food styling and to our amazing community, who came dressed to impress with all their smiles and energy! After kicking off in 2023, this year was a total blast! We rocked out to pop songs with an orchestral twist, enjoyed fungi-inspired treats, and heard from trailblazers reshaping innovation.
