Making a difference one winter rescue at a time 🙏 🎥 from the US National Guard Always Ready, Always There! Watch a New Hampshire National Guard medevac crew help rescue a hiker after a solo hike turned into a near-death struggle against severe weather. Guardsmen flying a Black Hawk helicopter supported the hours-long rescue mission led by New Hampshire Fish and Game and transported the hiker to a medical care facility on Dec. 19. #savinglives #nationalguard #firstresponders #makingadifference

About us
TacMed Solutions™ was formed to develop quality, effective supplies and equipment for combat and tactical medicine. We knew what worked for us in that environment and wanted to share it with as many people as possible. Our products reflect our experience, situations we have faced and friends we have lost. Our goal is to prevent others from experiencing those losses by offering equipment that allows them to operate more efficiently and effectively. Minimizing preventable death in a combat or tactical environment is a realistic and attainable goal and we are proud to offer products that will help you reach it. All of our employees are former tactical medical professionals or have a close relationship with them. We maintain close ties with some of the most elite and experienced medics in the world and every one of our products must pass their evaluation before we put our name on it. We understand the principles of human performance as it relates to combat stress and design our products to complement that performance not complicate it. This approach to product development and evaluation leads to products that truly work in combat. We don’t design products to pass a structured laboratory test in a controlled environment or barely meet a requirement as a substitute. They are designed to function when there is no structure, when you have minimal supplies and very little time. When there is no one else there to help, and you probably have more than one casualty. You are trying to save lives while someone is trying to take yours. That is the environment of the tactical health care provider and that is where our products excel.

THE TWO BONE MYTH BUSTED! The upper and lower limbs comprise two prominent bones: the arms’ radius and ulna and the legs’ tibia and fibula. This anatomical structure supports bipedal movement and enhances dexterity. It also provides a protective mechanism against severe bleeding due to the presence of deep blood vessels. A notable study by Kragh et al. in 2008, published in the Journal of Trauma, found that the application of tourniquets is generally more effective on distal limbs. Specifically, the study reported an effectiveness rate of 92% for tourniquet applications on the forearm, compared to 81% for applications on the upper arm. In the lower leg, the effectiveness reached 100%, while applications on the thigh were practical only 73% of the time. The study suggested that the circumference of the limb plays a more significant role in the effectiveness of tourniquet application than the presence of two bones. Train to Save Lives with K9 Diesel! Repost from @iron_rose_k9_inc Today, Iron Rose K9 inservice groups, PSP, local swat medics, and other local k9 teams, teamed up with the PA National Guard at Ft. Indiantown Gap for an amazing k9 care under fire course. Huge thanks to Sgt. Guzman and Sgt. Ellis for putting on one of the best k9 medical care classes yet! Teams learned about everything from heat related injuries to major trauma. They utilized @tacmed_solutions robot, K9 Diesel, which allowed for hands on practice. Using K9 Diesel, teams were able to practice needle decompression, starting an IV, and applying a TQ. Thanks again to the PA National Gaurd and Sgts Ellis and Guzman for providing us with this training. #k9handler #mwd #k9training #medicaltraining
