Their experiences and stories remind us that building a better future begins with individuals who lead with a purpose. Please join us in expressing our gratitude to Retired Brigadier General Mike Callahan for his many years of service to this nation; he truly exemplifies leadership, resilience, and stewardship — we are proud to have him lead our team here at Tallgrass.

We're proud of our veterans—they are selfless, driven, and committed. William Lassiter, a WY team member, shared how the Navy helped him develop a broader understanding of the world and teamwork. "Most sailors enlist young and have limited exposure to the world. They’re tasked with accomplishing a mission and forced to work together; this exposure builds the experience needed to work through complex problems with a shared purpose." William, thank you for your service!

Brandon Kopish, an operations specialist in Nebraska, started as a member of the US Army. He proudly served his country and left with an appreciation for the Army's having taught him, "...the value of creative problem-solving under extreme pressure." Brandon, thank you for your service!

Continuing our celebration of Tallgrass' veterans, Jonathan Jolly, an operations supervisor in WY, shares about his time as a member of the USMC: "My time in the Marine Corps taught me the value of teamwork and the importance of living the Corps values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment every day." Jonathan, thank you for your service!

This week, we're celebrating the wisdom shared by veterans across our organization. Gregory Fernandez, a Tallgrass operations specialist in Colorado, says, "The Navy taught me the value of collaboration and the importance of a strong work ethic—two things that continue to benefit me after my time in the service." Tallgrass Energy, the University of Dayton, Kanin Energy, and AES Ohio recently broke ground on a new waste heat to power facility in Fayette County, OH which will capture the heat produced by an existing process and generate decarbonized power, which will be sold to AES Ohio for the benefit of the University of Dayton. This project when completed will offset 100% of the UD's electricity needs. This is a true collaboration of industry and community partners to capture wasted energy and meet growing energy demands. We need more smart partnerships like this to keep pace with our ever growing strains on base load power.
