The mission of the College of Graduate Studies is to promote excellence in graduate education through teaching, research, and service. The College of Graduate Studies, in conjunction with the Graduate Council, accomplishes its mission through the planning and development of policy and procedures related to graduate education; the recruitment, admission, and retention of qualified students; and by providing support and coordination of high quality course offerings and degree programs. Evidence of these collective goals is that the graduates will demonstrate the following: Increased professional competence in the chosen field of study; Refined use of analytical methodology; and, Advanced preparation and skills in the academic discipline.
