It is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Help us share the importance of cervical cancer screening and we will donate to the American Cancer Society on your behalf! See details here (requires an Instagram account): https://bit.ly/4aaZ7ND The power to eliminate cervical cancer in the U.S. is in sight - but it requires everyone with a cervix to routinely screen. Today, fewer women are screening because the current experience can be challenging - an invasive exam that requires an in-person appointment. After extensive testing, the Teal Wand at-home screening device is under FDA review - the final step before it can be available. Together, with a more accessible and comfortable screening option, we have the power to eradicate cervical cancer. See the link above for how to help donate.

Special thank you to Paddington Mundagowa for helping to present our data about cervical cancer screening within the LGBTQ+ community at the American Public Health Association annual conference this past weekend. We also put together a research deep dive for those of you who want to learn more. ▶️ Around 13% of our clinical study participants identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, or queer, while 2% identified as trans, gender non-conforming, or genderqueer. ▶️ Research shows LGBTQ+ individuals are 50% less likely to engage in cervical cancer screening, often because of provider biases and feeling uncomfortable with the speculum exam. ▶️ In our study, we consistently see that LGBTQ+ individuals preferred screening with the Teal Wand, and felt empowered and in control when doing so. We hope that the Teal Wand can bring a crucial screening option to this community, and all those who are underscreened.* Check out our APHA poster at https://bit.ly/4hgZpGd. *The Teal Health Cervical Cancer Screening device is an Investigational Device and is under review by the US FDA. #tealhealth #womenshealth #lgbtqhealth #papsmear #femtech

Big News Day! From the stage at HLTH Inc. our CEO, Kara Egan, today announced we have submitted our Teal Wand at-home cervical cancer screening to the FDA and shared a report showing 94% of women prefer at-home cervical cancer screening. This submission, which received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in May of this year, is the final step before making the Teal Wand commercially available. Screening with the Teal Wand will address barriers to cervical cancer screening and give millions of women and people with a cervix an alternative method for screening, one that is convenient, comfortable, and private. Teal Health’s SELF-CERV clinical trial, which completed enrollment earlier this year, has demonstrated strong clinical performance and an overwhelming preference for the Teal Wand. While pending approval, you can view Teal Health's report, which shares a glimpse into their study’s diverse demographic profile and the participants’ experiences with the Teal Wand. https://bit.ly/3UiuGhP
