The Port of Brownsville recently welcomed the decommissioned USS John F. Kennedy, which came to the port to be recycled and repurposed following decades of faithful service. The port is no stranger to this kind of activity, as 85% of ship recycling activities for Maritime Administration (MARAD) and the US Navy take place at the Port of Brownsville, accounting for hundreds of jobs in South Texas. #TxDOTMaritime
