Our CEO shares his reflections on Atlanta — the city he's called home for a decade — and the power of community that drives us all forward. From housing and hurricane relief to supporting local artists, 2024 showed what’s possible when we come together.
As we close out 2024, I’m sharing some thoughts in what I hope will become an annual letter to our Board, donors, institutional investors and staff — all of you who help ensure the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta remains of and for the community.

HouseATL is working on a number of state policy issues this year, under the leadership of its Policy Working Group and the Co-Chairs, Chelsea Arkin and Kristin Allin, as well as the guidance and advocacy of Elizabeth Appley. Sustaining and growing the Georgia Housing Voucher Program is one of those critical issues - one that many people are less familiar with. Thank you to the SaportaReport and the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta for giving us the platform to explain why this program can reduce chronic homelessness and increase the quality of life for extremely vulnerable people.
