We are dedicated to pursuing diversity within commercial real estate

About us

The mission of The Council of Urban Real Estate (CURE) is to pursue diversity and inclusion within the commercial real estate, land use and development industries, while empowering emerging real estate professionals Founded in 1990 as the African American Real Estate Professionals of New York, Inc. the organization was formed to advance African-American professionals and businesses in the real estate industry, advancing real estate development in African-American communities and developing awareness of African-Americans in real estate related subject matters. Since then the organization has grown to over 700 members in the New York City metropolitan area, spurring chapters in Washington D.C, Boston, North Carolina and Atlanta. As a non-profit solely dedicated to the interest of Afrlcan-Americans, our work to sustain our mission of inclusion and diversity obligated us to critically examine the manner in which we operate and to reinvent ourselves to ensure continued relevance, impact and value to our broader stakeholders. In 2014 we embarked on a major rebranding of AAREPNY, to expand our brand and the positive impact it has had on our stakeholders. New programming will address real and often overlooked issues facing minorities and women and their pursuit of leadership within the real estate industry. Ultimately, the true power of CURE will lie in the hearts and minds of the ever increasing number of diverse real estate professionals that we serve, and the broader industry where they and valued stakeholders act as ambassadors, carrying forward the message and vision of CURE

REBNY/C.U.R.E/CREW Holiday Reception Esteemed Colleagues On behalf of REBNY, CREW, C.U.R.E and the Durst Organization, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for supporting our second annual holiday event and toy drive to benefit WIN. It was great to have our groups come together, united by a shared mission to highlight the importance of diversity in real estate. Our guest speaker, Dr. Malik Yoba, reminded us of the important role our work plays in helping to provide more opportunities for diverse groups to thrive within this industry. His work to bridge real estate, education, and media together to empower youth is truly inspiring and important. See photos from the event. As C.U.R.E looks ahead to the new year, we plan to bring more programs dedicated to topics that address diversity in real estate, making sure this critical issue stays at the forefront of our industry. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year!

PDG Signs Exclusive Content Deal with Retrieve! For the past three years, #MMUSA has been instrumental in managing our marketing efforts, keeping PDG top of mind in the A/E/C industry with their monthly campaigns. Now, with the transition to the #RETRIEVE platform, we're taking the next step—transforming our intellectual property and content into a valuable resource for our community while generating passive income for PDG members. Today, there is an extreme lack of knowledge sharing and mentorship within the A/E/C industry. Therefore, at PDG, we see the need to evolve and take advantage of this opportunity, using our expertise in project management and construction to create valuable content that can benefit our audience. As a result of this, PDG has recently partnered with Retrieve to offer a new opportunity for continuing education in A/E/C. One of our goals with the Retrieve platform is to increase value and brand awareness to a wider audience. Second is to have this new audience learn, engage and succeed. The first visual resource for sale will feature a brief lesson on the Technical Program/Project Delivery Process - The Life-Cycle, Critical Roles and Typical Services Provided. https://lnkd.in/evaSqrTT For a limited time only, to celebrate our launch and show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re excited to offer you the perfect opportunity to invest in yourself and advance your skills for just $9.99.
