This week, our Mary M. Jalonick Women's Philanthropy Institute awarded $330,000 to four nonprofit organizations that have made a significant impact throughout North Texas during 2024. In addition to Exodus Ministries, which received the lead grant of $150K, three additional nonprofits each received a grant of $60K, including: Abide Women's Health Services, The Urban Specialists, and Vogel. The Women's Philanthropy Institute was created to help women donors gain a deeper understanding of community needs. Launched by The Dallas Foundation, the initiative empowers women on their philanthropic journeys by connecting them with one another, the communities they aim to support and organizations making a difference. We are thrilled that Fair Park First has selected The Dallas Foundation to manage current and future donations dedicated to building a new community park in South Dallas. "The Dallas Foundation’s role provides an additional level of oversight and stewardship, since our primary goal remains to do what’s best for the city and people of Dallas.
