Established in 1929, The Dallas Foundation is Texas’ oldest community foundation. The Dallas Foundation serves as a resource, leader and catalyst for philanthropy by providing donors with a flexible means of making gifts to charitable causes that enhance our community and beyond. The Dallas Foundation gives donors a means to carry out their philanthropic vision. We help professional advisors address their clients’ needs and goals. We also identify community needs and bring together intellectual and financial resources to address them. The Dallas Foundation awards grants for a broad array of charitable purposes in the areas of the arts, education, early childhood development, environment, health, aging, human and social services, and public/civic benefit that improve the well-being of the residents of North Texas and beyond.

This week, our Mary M. Jalonick Women's Philanthropy Institute awarded $330,000 to four nonprofit organizations that have made a significant impact throughout North Texas during 2024. In addition to Exodus Ministries, which received the lead grant of $150K, three additional nonprofits each received a grant of $60K, including: Abide Women's Health Services, The Urban Specialists, and Vogel. The Women's Philanthropy Institute was created to help women donors gain a deeper understanding of community needs. Launched by The Dallas Foundation, the initiative empowers women on their philanthropic journeys by connecting them with one another, the communities they aim to support and organizations making a difference. Through WPI, women philanthropists are poised to inspire lasting change in our communities. Read more at https://lnkd.in/gjRwVF5B #HereforGood
