🏈 Sports: Can you be both #tough and #kind? 100% without a doubt. Success on and off the field starts with one simple yet powerful skill: #communication. Being part of a team means more than just showing up—it means truly connecting, listening, and working together toward a common goal. So be TOUGH. Be STRONG. But when times get tough, be willing to talk to get the help you need 🫱🏽🫲🏼. When we prioritize communication, we create a culture of trust and accountability where everyone feels valued 🙏🏼. — Good Athlete Podcast Ep. 150 w/ Dominique Robinson - Chicago Bears Defensive End #90 🐻🏈 https://lnkd.in/gi92jEiE #Leadership #CommunicationMatters #StrongerTogether

About us
The Good Athlete Project is an international education consulting foundation (501c3). We are on a mission to empower youth and future leaders through athletics. Athletics serve as the most powerful educational platform that exists. When done well, sports have the potential to teach character and life lessons that serve its participants well after their careers have ended. That said, not all coaches recognize its potential, leaving the platform mis- and underused. In those cases, issues of unhealthy and destructive mindsets erupt, promoting behavior that has stigmatized athletes and athletics. That's where our work begins. Through Professional Development and team-based workshops, we are enhancing athletics as an educational platform from the inside out. Make no mistake, this is not soft coaching. We acknowledge winners and losers, highlighting failure and time under tension as opportunities for growth. And while we acknowledge the value of preparing to win, as coaches, it is essential that we use that motivation to accomplish other, bigger, more lasting successes.

I have really appreaciated what Powerade has done since 2022 to highlight and embrace athletes who put mental health and performance on a shared front burner. I also believe that, as a 2025 prediction, we will see more sports marketers and brands take a bet on a strategy that highlights mental health issues instead of "just" performance. @NILENT is focused on prepping the next generation of athletes to face challenges both on and off of the field of play. #gratitude #NILforgood #NIL #Linkedinsports #mentalhealthwellbeing #financialliteracy

“Perfect” doesn’t exist in sports. We need to stop glamorizing obsession and perfectionism! 🪫 Yes, be goal-oriented, set high standards, and push yourself.. but don't be obsessive. #Perfectionism arrives when your obsession stops serving you, and starts controlling you… and it’s all too common🙏🏼 For more, find “Anti-Perfectionism for Sports Enhancement” on @bedrock_edu 🔥 Link Below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://lnkd.in/gMhqQuQM Reach out for more 🔥🔥🔥 #sports #sportspsychology #coach #perfectionism #leadership

"For the first time since the 2015-16 season, the Denver Broncos will be in the playoffs. The last time the team made it to the postseason, Peyton Manning—in his final career game—led the Broncos to victory in Super Bowl 50. Now, eight seasons later, the Broncos are headed back to the playoffs. Instead of being led by a future hall-of-fame quarterback at the tail-end of his career, this time the Broncos are led by rookie quarterback Bo Nix..." On Episode 153 of the Good Athlete Podcast, Louisiana State University Director of Athletic Development, Jake Flint, talks about the different ways LSU Football & Strength have developed a #culture that always says: "Always demanding, Never demeaning." When you set a standard, you have to stick to it. Stay consistent and demand excellence regularly, if you want to improve performance. Yes, there are gonna be times when it’s not perfect, when it doesn’t go your way - that’s okay! Stay consistent, get back on the right path, and NEVER be demeaning 💪🏼💪🏼 #DoesYourBehaviorMatchYourGoal — Check out this Episode ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gNW_jEit More like this ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gsjAiheZ
