At the Observer Media Group we work hard AND we play hard! Last week was our 2024 Annual Meeting where we recapped the past year, shared successes within the company, celebrated top performers and danced the night away. Our theme was: Paint the Town Red As our founder, Matt Walsh, shared in his "State of the Observer" address, "You are in charge of the culture. Live the culture you want." At the Observer, we have a culture that is contagious because of all the wonderful people that make up our company. Cheers to you! ❤️

🇺🇸 Yesterday, we participated in one of our favorite events of the year — Tribute to Heroes Parade in Lakewood Ranch! We began the evening by serving a delicious meal to our veterans donated by generous local restaurants and finished the evening walking our way down Lakewood Ranch Main Street with patriotic pride. Happy Memorial Day. Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Thank you. ❤️🤍💙

🎉 Each quarter, we hold an internal event called, OMG Lunch & Learn where someone that works at the Observer shares something insightful that could help the rest of our team. This quarter, we had our founder and CEO, Matt Walsh, and publisher, Emily Walsh, share with us the history of Observer Media Group. Whether we are speaking with advertising clients, connecting with our community or just chatting with friends about where we work — it’s important to know where we came from and where we are going! 🤩 PS: Who likes our new mascot?! His name is O-Man!

😋🌮 Tacos, anyone? As we’ve shared before, every quarter we hold an internal event titled, After Hours, where our employees get a chance to show us what they like to do After Hours. This quarter, our Digital Fulfillment Specialist, Emma Burke Jolly, walked us through all it takes to write her monthly column, Eating with Emma. Lucky for us, we headed over to one of her favorite places, Casa Masa, and got to learn her tricks, meet the outstanding owner Rob Disilvio and eat some delicious bites. 🫶 Here you can read the Eating with Emma article that featured Casa Masa: https://lnkd.in/eXHy_KCF

Senior Editor of East County Observer, Liz Ramos, came into the office with the best surprise — COOKIES! Even better surprise when we saw they were OMG themed. 🥳 Did you know a delicious spring cookie pairs wonderfully with our 2024 Summer Fun Guide? Have you had a chance to grab a copy? It is the perfect resource for planning your family’s summer!
