  • Established by UCL students and staff to support underachieving students at local secondary schools. Our flagship Maths GCSE programme delivers targeted tuition workshops to improve academic and other outcomes for marginalised pupils who are currently falling behind. We are currently recruiting tutors to lead small-scale workshops at partner school sites. We are also running a Financial Literacy Festival in the Summer, where our programme tutors will collaborate with experts from the finance industry to co-present on relevant topics (including budgeting and cryptocurrency). Responsibilities Attend secondary schools in London to lead small-scale weekly tuitions. Run small-group sessions teaching Maths GCSE content (maximum of 5 students per group). Team-building: working with fellow tutors to produce Work collaboratively with students to co-produce learning resources. Collaborate with expert and keynote speakers to produce informational resources for students. What You Will Bring You are committed to social mobility and equality within education. You are a confident communicator and can cover the Maths GCSE curriculum for students. You are organised and professional while interacting with students, schools and fellow tutors. You bring a positive and encouraging energy to build students' confidence and implement a 'growth' mindset. Qualifications Tutors must be current university students living in London and demonstrate the ability to teach the Ed Excel Maths GCSE Higher Curriculum.
