On Monday, teammates from all around the company gathered for our annual company meeting. This year’s theme was “Focused on the Future” as we discussed our company’s growth and exciting opportunities ahead. We would like to thank guest speaker, Captain Eric McElvenny, USMC (ret.) who shared his powerful and inspiring story with our team. Per our tradition, we also honored two teammates with our Annual Wellness Awards. Both went above and beyond to role-model healthy living and transform their lifestyles this year, inspiring many others. Congratulations to both on this well-deserved award!

We believe in the importance of education. That’s why over the last several weeks we partnered with both BotsIQ and The Challenge Program on events to help students in our local community. We are excited to help them forge their futures!

Our intern program has a strong focus on hands-on experiences. Our interns torch cut, operate equipment, assemble machinery, help perform maintenance work, and process data to learn all about the complexities and challenges of manufacturing. Through this, we believe they get more than skills related their field of study, they also develop the soft skills necessary to help them thrive in their field. This summer’s intern group was the largest that we have ever hosted, and they made a truly positive impact. We are immensely proud of them and all they accomplished. As they head back to school, we wish them all the best! 

Perryman Company is exhibiting at the International Bridge Conference in San Antonio, TX this week.

We are excited to welcome this year’s summer interns! Throughout the summer, we host several educational sessions and tours to complement the in-classroom learning they receive at their college or university. Today, for their first session, they toured our Melting Operations in Coal Center, PA where they learned about the process of melting titanium from raw material through finished billet. 

Last fall, a group of eight employees from around the company embarked on an intensive Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training. Beyond the classroom learning and exam, each had to work on an individual process improvement project to earn their certification. These projects were months-long and involved working with many stakeholders and overcoming unexpected challenges. We are proud to announce that this group were all recently awarded their certifications! Going forward, they will use put their new skills to use in mentoring others and with many more process improvement projects in support of our commitment to quality.
