Two weeks ago, I lost my best friend Bruce unexpectedly. His passing has been incredibly painful, and what makes it even harder is knowing that this might have been preventable if he had sought medical attention when he first felt that something was wrong. Bruce was the type of person who always put others first, rarely stopping to take care of himself. It’s a reminder of how important it is for all of us to listen to our bodies and seek help when something doesn’t feel right. Ignoring or downplaying symptoms might feel easier at the moment, but it can have serious consequences. Please don’t wait. If you feel unwell or notice something unusual, reach out to a doctor or a professional. Your health is worth it; taking care of yourself is the best way to continue being there for the people you love.
