We were thrilled to officially welcome the National Finance Center to their new home at The Beach during Monday's building dedication ceremony! 🤩 The energy and excitement in the room were contagious, reflecting the pride and importance of the work being done by these dedicated employees who diligently serve our country. It’s an honor to provide them with a space they truly deserve. 🏖️🏢✨ We’re excited to explore collaborative opportunities between the National Finance Center and the University of New Orleans. Teaching the teachers this Saturday was a breeze! 🌟 This weekend, we hosted an engaging, hands-on workshop for Orleans Parish teachers, equipping them with the tools to bring renewable energy concepts to life in their classrooms. 🚀 What we did: 🔹 Built prototype wind turbine models using basic craft supplies. 🔹 Designed and tested blades on a platform in water. 🔹 Measured the power output of the blades. These amazing educators are now ready to guide their students in creating their own models for the KidWind Challenge in January! 🌀 Winners could even advance to KidWind Worlds, an unforgettable experience! By sparking interest in renewable energy at the high school level, we’re helping to build the next generation of the clean energy workforce—hopefully future students at University of New Orleans! 😉💡 A huge thank you to Michael Arquin for your leadership and guidance, and to all the teachers who showed up with the enthusiasm and effort that will shape our future.
