This week, ADS was proud to donate $50,000 raised during this year’s Warrior East 5K to the Gary Sinise Foundation. ADS Director of Events Rachael Andoscia and CFO/COO John Dunn had the honor of presenting the check during a visit to the Foundation’s Nashville TN headquarters, where they had a chance to meet the people behind the organization’s amazing work and check out some of Gary’s movie memorabilia – including the original bench from his popular film, Forrest Gump. Thank you to all the Warrior East 5K runners, donors and volunteers for your participation in this year’s event and helping ADS support such an incredible foundation. We could not have done it without you!

For nearly 40 years, Actor and Humanitarian Gary Sinise has been a passionate, dedicated advocate on behalf of our brave service members. ADS is honored to welcome him to Warrior East 2024 as our Keynote Speaker. After a decade of individual efforts to support military members and veterans, Sinise's iconic portrayal of Lt. Dan Taylor in "Forrest Gump" allowed him to forge an enduring connection with the military community. In 2011, he established the Gary Sinise Foundation, dedicated to serving and honoring America’s defenders, veterans, first responders, Gold Star families and those in need. ADS is proud to support this mission by donating the proceeds from our 2024 Warrior 5K events to the Foundation. Sinise also currently serves on the President’s Advisory Group for the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, the Community Council for Hope for the Warriors, and as an honorary board member of Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). Happy 249th Birthday to the US Army! ADS is proud to serve the Army with mission-critical supply solutions, and grateful for the three retired Command Sergeants Major on our Army team who help us do it. Their wisdom, expertise and leadership make us better every day. “When I was in the Army, I had a clear mission and a purpose,” said Chris Ghormley, CSM (Ret) and ADS Regional Account Manager, U.S. Army. “But once you leave the Military you are left to find a new one. ADS has given me purpose – to help others that carry on the fight.” Like so many Army veterans who work at ADS, they’ve found second careers that allow them to keep serving their country. "I'm proud that I can still make an impact on soldiers while working at ADS," said Jim Savitski, CSM (Ret) and Senior Army Central Region Manager at ADS. For Ron Stimpert, CSM (Ret) and ADS Regional Account Manager, U.S. Army, the company’s military mindset and supportive culture made the career transition seamless. “The Army was my family for a long time and now I have a very similar family at ADS,” he said. “Everyone looks out for each and ensures that those around them are treated in accordance with our company values. After three decades in uniform, I am part of another organization that puts the mission first, treats everyone with dignity and respect, and cares about the welfare of its people.” Happy Birthday, U.S. Army.
