𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗛𝗢𝗚 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗡: Punxsutawney Phil revealed his annual prediction this morning, seeing his shadow once again and predicting 6 more weeks of winter. Do you agree, or do you think we're headed for an early spring?

Winter has been different from north to south across the Midwest for the 2024/25 season. The Accumulated Winter Season Severity Index (AWSSI) shows areas across Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio are experiencing a Severe to Extreme winter, or as many Midwesterners would call it "Winter when I was a kid.". These areas are running some 150-300% above their normal snowfall for this season! However, in the northern parts of the region, it is a totally different story and all you must do is travel 150-200 miles north from southern Indiana to northern Indiana to see they are experiencing a Mild to Moderate winter. Sure, it has been very cold, but there has been little in the way of snow or snowpack. Places like Chicago are experiencing only around 50% of their normal snow! However, there is still plenty of time to make up for the deficit or add to the surplus!
