Our patent-pending scaffolds represent a breakthrough in sustainable, animal-free tissue engineering, offering natural grains to distinctive textures beyond nature. And our innovative bioreactors are scaling up for small goods production in 2025. Her beautiful artwork will be hung in our tasting room & event center that is opening this fall in the beautiful Finger Lakes of New York! Sweet Farm is hiring! We are currently looking for a Seasonal Animal Caregiver. This critical member of our team will work together with our other caregivers in cleaning barns, feeding, grooming, administering medications and supplements, and general care for the 110+ rescued animals in our care. 🚽 Most people don't think about where human sewage waste goes once it leaves their home. Flushed down a toilet, sent to a sewage system, that organic waste is never thought of again. In the US alone, over 100M tons of organic waste per year are sent to landfill, incinerated, or applied to crop fields, creating environmental and health problems. 🔥 That's why Sweet Farm was excited to team up with Bioforcetech Corporation as part of its Climate Tech Accelerator program. Bioforcetech’s technology https://lnkd.in/ejACg44Y transforms organic streams (including from the human waste system) into both renewable energy and biochar. The heat of this process also eliminates some very problematic chemical chains like PFAS, microplastics, and pharmaceuticals. 💪 Biochar can be applied in many different ways to create a more sustainable planet. Biochar is practically a miracle substance. It can be used as a colorant in inks, stains, resins, and more. It can also replace aggregates in concrete, turning buildings into carbon sinks, or added to any cast material like ceramics, reducing raw material needs. 🌱 At Sweet Farm we use it as a soil amendment. Biochar restores soil carbon by helping microbes flourish, holding onto water, and adding much needed nitrogen and phosphorous.
