Our Thorne Ambulance Service team invested a lot of time with the next generation of EMS providers this week. From career fairs in Spartanburg and Gaffney, to the annual Advisory breakfast with the Golden Strip Career Center. We are fortunate to have programs in the area that are committed to the success of their students, and committed to supporting a sustainable workforce for #mobilemedicine.

The strength of our team is on full display during the most challenging of times. The quality of leadership that we have witnessed over the course of the past week, incredible. Our team members stepped up in every way, caring for their communities, and each other. When disaster struck, leaders stepped up. Placing personal needs aside, these individuals have been relentless in their pursuit of service. We have watched as providers have sacrificed safety and comfort to care for others. Through all the devastation and disruption of this past week, we can all take a breath knowing these wonderful people are in our communities. This week, in addition to our regular services, our Thorne Ambulance Service team assisted in serving: Bon Secours Mercy Health, Prisma Health, GREENWOOD COUNTY EMS, Greenville County EMS, Bon Secours Wellness Arena (medical shelter), @Cherokee County Emergency Management, and others. We are also thankful for the support we received, the intra-agency collaborations, and the results of the work.

Each day, our #TAS teams have the privilege of serving patients across South Carolina. We are fortunate to receive regular praise for the stellar work of our team, and wanted to share this recent example. To the crews that responded to this terrible motor vehicle collision, we thank you for the compassion and professionalism you demonstrated throughout your response, treatment, and transport of this patient. We are incredibly blessed to have such high caliber clinicians don the #TAS uniform!
