Leviat's Chief Engineer for North America, Scott Collins, recently collaborated with distinguished tilt-up engineer, David Kelly, to produce a historical review of the evolution of bracing. This is the first in a planned series of articles outlining the history, advances, and innovations witnessed by the tilt-up construction industry over the past century. Built near #Houston, this $417,000,000 facility consolidates Daikin’s manufacturing, distribution, lab, and office spaces—all under one roof. LJB was proud to serve as the structural engineer of record, designing the roof framing, mezzanine, load-bearing #tiltup walls, slab-on-grade, and deep foundations. Exciting News from Copper Crossing! Building 7 was constructed using an innovative low-carbon approach, incorporating 25% less CO₂ cement in the footings, foundation, floors, and tilt panels.
