The Town of Collierville is inviting residents to apply for two open positions on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. These appointments will fill the unexpired terms of Position 1 and Position 2, with both terms extending through the next municipal election scheduled for November 3, 2026. Qualified individuals are encouraged to submit applications to help shape the future of Collierville and provide leadership for the community. To be eligible, applicants must: 1. Be a qualified voter under Tennessee state law. 2. Have been a resident of Collierville for at least 12 months prior to their appointment. The selection process will include an interview with the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, scheduled for January 8-10, 2025. Final appointees will take the Oath of Office on January 13, 2025, ahead of the regularly scheduled Board meeting. Candidates must be prepared to assume the duties of office immediately following their appointment, including orientation sessions and meetings with Town staff. How to apply: Interested and qualified residents must submit a resume and a letter of intent highlighting relevant qualifications, skills, and special knowledge. Applications should be addressed to the Administration Department and delivered to Collierville Town Hall, 500 Poplar View Parkway. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered. For more information, contact the Administration Department at 901-457-2200.

This morning, Congressman David Kustoff honored Mayor Stan Joyner on the House Floor in Washington, D.C., recognizing his 25+ years of dedicated public service to Collierville. In his speech, Congressman Kustoff celebrated Mayor Joyner's incredible achievements, from establishing the Collierville Municipal School System to fostering economic growth and preserving Collierville’s outstanding quality of life. Kustoff shared, “Stan led from the front. He always advocated for Collierville and fought for the needs of the Town.” He also highlighted Mayor Joyner's deep roots, faith, and commitment to family, saying, “Stan’s dedication to his community is matched only by his dedication to his family and his strong personal integrity.” As we approach the end of an era on December 18 when our mayor-elect Maureen Fraser takes her oath, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Joyner for shaping Collierville into the incredible place it is today.
