Happy Valentine's Day! Our stormwater staff want to remind you to show our waterways some love. Here are some tips: ❤️ Show your gutters some love and keep them clean to help stormwater flow. 💙 Give native plants a chance, they help soak up rain and filter pollutants. 💚 Give your yard some TLC and reduce the use of pesticides and fertilizers harming the runoff to nearby streams. For more info about our stormwater program, visit the link in the comments below. We hope everyone has a safe holiday with your loved ones.

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Wendell now has its first all-day bus service! GoRaleigh Route 33L, running from New Hope Commons Shopping Center in Raleigh into Knightdale, has been extended to Wake Technical Community College in Wendell, adjacent to I-87. This connection provides direct transit access between Raleigh and Wendell every hour (on weekdays), for students and residents alike. This service aligns with our strategic goal of enhancing mobility for the community. The GoWake SmartRide NE service is still available for free for folks looking to grab a ride to Wake Tech and then hop on the bus into Raleigh. Both services are funded through the Wake Transit Plan, approved by voters in 2016 to better public transportation in Wake County. 🚏
