We talk a lot about Jackal - but did you know that we use our software operating system, Mosaic to command and control every aspect of our mission? Our goal is to identify those workflows that are overly time consuming and automate them so that an operator can maintain situational awareness where it counts. "Contact scheduling has been a hassle on every other ground system that I've used in my career. Not so with Mosaic. True Anomaly built Mosaic understanding that contacts are integral to the mission. Mosaic makes contact scheduling seamless for operations. We can see our satellite ground trace, the ground stations, contact availabilities, and can then schedule our contacts with multiple ground station providers directly through the UI." - Scott Silver, Space Operations Team That's why we built a contact scheduling feature within Mosaic that allows you see integrated ground station contact availabilities, and book them within a matter of seconds. Thankful for our partners Viasat, KSAT Inc., and Leaf Space, who were all integrated into Mosaic and are supporting communications with our vehicle during Mission X-2.

True Anomaly is taking a new approach to space security and defense that meets the demands of today's mission. The future of security in the space domain requires high-volume, cost efficient, yet highly capable systems that can maneuver without regret, intercept on command, image, classify, and track resident space objects in a contested environment. Our mission is to design, deliver, and rapidly iterate on an integrated space vehicle and software solution that meets the rapidly evolving needs of operators in the domain. #TrueAnomalyWWIT

SADA checkout complete. Safe rendezvous and proximity operations for space superiority missions drives unique requirements into spacecraft design. Spacecraft relative location, attitude, and location of the sun are among the many factors which impact operational planning and tactics selection in the space domain, but these factors are not always in an operator’s control. Jackal uses articulating solar arrays to keep the power flowing and maintain mission success in a variety of sunlit conditions. In a recent test, we successfully actuated our solar array motors across a variety of rotation angles, which are I’ll enable greater flexibility and increased decision space for operators trying to gain positional advantage on orbit. True Anomaly is pleased to welcome Stephen Kitay to the team! Stephen brings over twenty years of experience in the space and defense sectors and has a proven track record of leadership and innovation, and will be responsible for scaling True Anomaly’s product portfolio and business strategy. In this role, he will focus on ensuring True Anomaly is enabling the readiness and mission effectiveness of space forces, both on-orbit and across the globe. Please join us in welcoming him to the team! If you'd like to read more about Stephen's background - take a look here: https://lnkd.in/gndAaR7p

The United States and its Allies must deter and defeat aggression that threatens our collective use of the space domain. With a rapidly evolving threat, the U.S. military and intelligence community must continuously adapt its capabilities to stay ahead, yet space is a uniquely challenging warfighting domain. True Anomaly's mission is to enable this rapid adaptation, building purpose-built spacecraft and software solutions for space superiority by partnering closely with the USG to understand the mission and the threat and build a full-stack, fully-burdened product. At True Anomaly, we approach these tough technical challenges by repeatedly asking: "What would it take?" This line of questioning is designed to catalyze a culture that challenges assumptions, constantly rethinks requirements, and works from fundamentals. Over the next several months, we’ll share the processes, technologies, and incredible people that make this possible. Follow along with #TrueAnomalyWWIT and join us on this journey.

On December 21st, Jackal separated from the SpaceX Falcon 9 using an Exolaunch separation system. Upon separation, Jackal executed its autonomous deployment sequence to include powering on, solar array deployment, coarse sun pointing, and establishing the first telemetry link. Keep following along for additional updates and milestones as we continue to push Jackal and Mosaic to their limits... and beyond! https://lnkd.in/g_Gj9_wC

Celebrating the multi-disciplinary team that makes our mission possible. Thank you for your hard work, and congrats on the success of MX-2 to date! We’re hiring individuals who want to work on the next generation of space superiority products. If you’re interested in joining our mission, check out our open roles in Colorado, Washington DC, and Los Angeles. https://lnkd.in/gGGJZGTu If you want to learn more about MX-2, check out the blog below: https://lnkd.in/g_Gj9_wC

Over the weekend, we successfully launched our Jackal AOV into orbit aboard the SpaceX Bandwagon-2 rideshare mission. ~48 hours in, Jackal continues to operate nominally as we enter the test and checkout phase of the vehicle’s subsystems. Mosaic is enabling faster feedback loops and increased visibility as we command the vehicle and we are able to rapidly deploy new features as we identify additional operator needs. Over the next 12 months, we will continue the rapid development, testing, and launch of several additional Jackal AOVs, powered by Mosaic, to maintain the platform's operational edge. In recent years we have observed increased activity by our adversaries in the space domain. Jackal is our response. On December 21, we launched Jackal on our second mission, Mission X-2 (MX-2) aboard Bandwagon-2 with SpaceX. We have now successfully contacted, downlinked data, and commanded Jackal, our Autonomous Orbital Vehicle, via Mosaic, our software platform, as it makes laps around the Earth. This is a major step in our mission to prove out novel technologies that are purpose-built for a contested space domain. Check out our blog for additional information: https://lnkd.in/g_Gj9_wC
