In the world of potable reuse, practitioners spend a lot of time thinking about how their treatment train can properly address threats from chemicals and pathogens that are present in wastewater effluents. This latest issue from the USC ReWater Center dives into how we approach the challenge of addressing pathogens in making reuse water safe for drinking. A often misunderstood topic made clear - enjoy and sign up! https://lnkd.in/g5eQnHJf https://rewater.usc.edu Amy Childress Brian Pecson Anya Kaufmann, P.E.

Excited to share this important research assessing human fecal contamination in U.S. stormwater and its implications for stormwater capture and reuse projects. This study synthesizes national data, employs advanced statistical analyses, and highlights reliable microbial indicators to refine risk-based guidelines for safe stormwater reuse. Congratulations to Jumana Aljafari and Sybil Sharvelle for leading this important work and a shoutout to authors Amos Branch, Michael Jahne, Adam Olivieri, Mazdak Arabi, jay garland and Raul Gonzalez for their collaborative efforts, as well as to Brian Pecson from our company, Trussell. Let’s continue working toward innovative, science-based solutions for sustainable water management! https://lnkd.in/gsdhkTgx
